Hailing from Los Angeles, United States, Milyam currently works as an independent professional visionary under her own independent powerhouse, who's finally ready to bring her unique vision to the global stage. A soft, sultry and liberating dreamy lo-fi pop number that's full of profound storytelling, this is a work of art.
'Lost In The Jungle' is a hypnotic, sultry meltdown of vocals; this number feels nothing short of nirvana. Inviting and sensual beat environments that are lush, poised, and very pragmatic, as if one is transcending into an alternative reality of sorts. Every moment on this one feels like a velvet blend of shadow and light, and it is truly designed for those folks who don't just see music for what it is but go above and beyond to feel its depth. A visual extravaganza that feels poised and lush, I feel like this melody is too hard to ignore.

1. What a refreshing new release, Milyam! What inspired this number?
Milyam- This song was written during a period of profound personal transformation. My past, the very foundation my dreams were built upon, was slipping out from under me. This track is an act of forgiveness to what was once so dear, a farewell to what used to be my anchor. It is like stepping into an abyss with your eyes closed, stepping into the unknown where all you have left is faith in yourself and your future. The emotions I was experiencing were so overwhelming that creating this art was my only way out. It is a journey of personal evolution. For me, this is a personal victory and a decisive step into a new future.
2. As someone who's been officially registered under the U.S. Library of Congress, it's safe to say that you're in the limelight. What keeps you humble in this journey of fame and prowess?
Milyam- My focus is always on what is inside—on my emotions, my inner experiences, and the pure act of creation. I am completely immersed in the process. Of course, it warms my heart to see my art resonating on global radio stations and in international media. But rather than just enjoying that moment and lingering in it, this recognition gives me the strength to keep moving forward. It proves I am on the right path.
3. If you could give any advice to your younger self, what would it be and why?
Milyam- I love this question, especially as someone who constantly analyzes the past. I think the most important advice might sound cliché, but I only understood its true depth after living through it: trust yourself. Your heart always knows the right path and the right answer. Sometimes your dreams might seem like an illusion, and the steps you take might not seem logical. But the path reveals itself only as you walk it, and your future depends entirely on the choices you make today. Always trust your vision, be honest with yourself, and follow your heart and your dream.
4. How has your upbringing shaped your sound?
Milyam- When I was fourteen, learning to play the guitar, I loved writing poetry and simple songs. I had a childhood dream of becoming a global artist, but it felt so distant that I couldn't even take it seriously. Later, I earned my engineering degree with honours, trying to build a future that seemed logical and prestigious. But despite that success, it didn't bring me true happiness; instead, I felt like I was losing my true identity. When you finally follow your dream, you find your wings. It is not an easy path, but faith is what keeps you from giving up.
5. How does 'Lost in the Jungle' resonate with you on a personal level?
Milyam- Personally, this track feels like an intimate breakthrough. It represents stepping out of the shadows of my own fears and doubts into the light of a new path, a new self, and a new reality. It is a farewell to everything I once held dear, realizing it was time to let go. You have two choices: you either remain in the darkness of your fears, frozen in memories, replaying them endlessly in your mind, or you choose your new path. I chose to pull myself together, stand up, and walk into total uncertainty to build a completely new life and a new version of myself from scratch. This song is my intimate, personal victory.
6. Tell us a bit about how your artistic vision evolved?
Milyam- I have learned to trust myself and follow my own trajectory. Even if I sometimes step outside the standard frameworks of the industry, my absolute priority is conveying raw emotion exactly as it exists in my heart. I realized how essential it is to be entirely honest with myself. Instead of following conventional expectations, I focus on the organic evolution of my own sound and my unique cinematic vision.
7. How do you overcome creative roadblocks in your artistic journey? Do you have any rituals that keep you going?
Milyam- There are moments when I feel entirely drained. Times when I have no strength left to keep going, when it feels like the ground is slipping from beneath my feet and there is nothing to hold on to. But in those moments, I look back and realize that the path I have chosen is the only right one. It is as if everything is exactly as it should be. When I see my song playing on Amazing Radio, it gives me the strength to push forward. When you want to give up, sometimes you need to allow yourself to pause—and other times, you just have to stick to the plan and push through the doubt and exhaustion. It requires balance, and that is something I am still learning.
8. Everybody has their own definition of the words 'art' and 'escape'. What meaning do these words hold for you personally?
Milyam- For me, 'art' is the light that illuminates the shadows within, helping you look constructively at the very things that might be destroying you. Because everything happens for the best. There are no coincidences in life. I believe that even challenging times happen for our ultimate good; it’s only with time that we realize that if we hadn't lived through that difficult moment, it wouldn't have brought us to the 'today' that is leading us toward our dream. I truly believe that when a person has a dream, the entire universe conspires to bring them exactly what their heart desires. Art is my way of walking through life, transforming the raw emotions of the moment into something timeless.
9. What artistic vision do you have for yourself? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Milyam- In five years, I see my music reaching every corner of the world, creating a cinematic space where millions of listeners can find their own reflection. My mother and I aim to expand the MILYAM EMPIRE vision into a global movement. A major goal for me is a comprehensive tour across the United States. I want to bring this cinematic, emotional universe to live audiences everywhere and establish our artistic project on an international scale.
10. What artists do you usually look up to? Are there any names you're eyeing to collaborate with?
Milyam- I admire many artists who have walked a long and challenging path. I am only at the beginning of mine. When creating music, my focus has always been on my inner world rather than external influences. I create what I feel, prioritizing the atmosphere my music conveys over predefined formulas. But if I were to speak about an artist who truly inspires me, it is Eminem. Whenever I look at his story, I am deeply moved by the immense journey he undertook to reach his dream—breaking into the global music scene against all odds. Despite his worldwide fame, he has remained a genuine, good-hearted person. That is something I profoundly respect. His path inspires me to never give up, to keep moving forward, and to follow my dream.
