The Burton D'Agostini Procedure Blurs the Line Between Nostalgia and Now in “Before and After Three”

The “surprise me” duo is back with another track, “Before and After Three.” The masterminds behind The Burton D'Agostini Procedure, Jeff Burton and John D'Agostini, met long time ago at Central Michigan University, and since then, they have been making music together. They stand out with their psychedelic/alternative music. Their sound is inspired by Pink Floyd, The Moody Blues, The Flaming Lips, Foster The People, Cage The Elephant, and MGMT, but their own elements feel distinctly unique.

The Burton

“The Burton D'Agostini Procedure is like a band who belongs in both the ‘70s and today’s indie playlist.”

Their latest song “Before and After Three” instantly hooks you in with its alarming tunes and subtle notes. Jeff Burton’s vocals sit perfectly in the mix, calm yet slightly haunting, guiding the track without overpowering it. The guitar work feels fluid and immersive, adding the psychedelic swirl without losing structure. Recorded at Lost Chord Studios, the production sounds clean, warm and organic. The track feels nostalgic in the tone, yet modern in execution, perfectly complimenting the title, ““Before and After Three.”
