R3b3l is a London based multi-instrumentalist who has mastered the art of infusing multitudinous soundscapes and picking a match between some unique instruments that help him craft his signature Jazz influenced lo-fi hip-hop sound. He aims to become ubiquitous with his music because he believes that music can be enjoyed at any place or time. Personally, he describes his odd relationship with music as something he, "Even hears in his sleep". Having released around 10 singles, R3b3l shows immense promise with respect to the quality of his oeuvre.

Their new single, "Carousel" kicks off with an upbeat piano melody that slowly allows the drums to kick in. The song later jumps to sounds as unique as some violin licks and finger snaps. The way these instruments jump in feels as if there's a new dish being served to you at the table and it always adds something deeper to the experience. It's the perfect embodiment of the quote: "Make it simple but not simpler". If a listener is to listen to this single "actively" then he will appreciate the way R3b3l plays with simplicity.
There's virtue in embedding simplicity in your style while at the same time carving deeper into the innermost chronicle of who one thinks one is, or can be. The song is aptly named "carousel" and as a listener, it made me imagine that one scene in J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye", where the protagonist's (Holden Caulfield) sister (Phoebe) rides a carousel and there is a moment of deep rumination and a burst of emotions in his psyche.

Of course one need not analyse lo-fi melodies as deeply to appreciate them. One can simply put these tunes on and drift off. There's virtue in drifting off with music as well, because that's when you know that there's something that always presents its kinship towards you when you need to calm yourself, focus on a hectic task or even doze off.
