FENRA is the electronic moniker of B. Laws, a portland based artist whose musical journey was inchoated during his childhood and continues diligently with this new foray into electronic music. With an EP in the vault and his debut single released, we only get a small glimpse of what's about to come in the future from FENRA's side. But with the touches and expressionistic flairs that can be heard in his first single, it seems as though he's completely honed his craft and has complete control over everything he has to offer for us.

The debut single is titled "COFFEE", and fittingly enough, it does carry that caffeinated punch inside it that instantly makes it an unskippable track. Wearing the badge of a low-pitched vocal chopped instrumental, it also features certain elements that make it "headphone test" worthy, with some of those elements nodding to the charms of botanical music. The hammered dulcimer takes the listener back to the memory befitting the current times and an air of nostalgia is prodded through the use of cloud-like atmospheres throughout the track.

With this being only the first glimpse into the EP that's ought to come, titled Delusional, he is a personality to better keep a tab on. If his pieces were people, they'd walk how Four Tet's music rolls out and sit consciously like how Philip Glass ends his symphonies ever so perfectly.
