A solo producer, songwriter, and wave of creativity who finds his routes from Westport, United States, Neil Valmonte is an emerging force in music who’s constantly trying to move against the pre-set map in the music world. Redefining limits with creative motion and carrying a potential for endless possibilities, Neil draws parts of his vivid imagination from the iconic concert clips of the legendary arena rock bands Metallica and Queen’s performances from the 80s and 90s. What began as a single guitar strum, this track, released on 11th June, carries the power to cause a revelation.

“If the feeling of necessity could be described as a dramatic rock anthem, this is what it would sound like!”
What he wrote with a pure intent of pouring in his life's work, this isn't just a song; it’s a state of mind. Titled ‘Down on the River,’ the tune kicks off with moments of self-reflection one feels as they look back at what they left behind, while thinking what's yet to come. A perfect blend of acceptance, humility, and urge to let life figure shit out for you instead of you trying to go miles deep into it in the pursuit of supposed sense, this is about standing in for a ride, to withstand the current no matter how strong it is. I think this song wouldn't have sounded as precious if it weren't for the expressive and powerful vocal work Neil has put into this piece. While you start to think the song sounds good so far, wait until you hear the chorus and the bits after it. I’m still in awe.
