The 67-year-old singer-songwriter has released his sixth solo album titled “Beyond the Veil.” Although he is based in the SF Bay Area, Forrest Hill’s journey with music began in Boston, where he fronted the funk rock band Judy’s Tiny Head (JTH). After releasing some of the most successful songs with JTH, Forrest decided to move to California and began recording his solo albums. During this time, he set himself on a journey to find the true purpose of humans on this earth. His music reflects the search for an ideal way of living life and connecting to nature. Through his music, he has astounded the ears of listeners for over 45 years and continues to do so. His blend of folk with rock gives his ideology the depth it requires.

Forrest beautifully scraps through the inner conscience and the outer world with his ability to awaken listeners through “Beyond the Veil.”
His latest album, “Beyond the Veil”, dives deep into human consciousness and questions the very purpose of living. Through his musical atmosphere, he tries to seek spirituality from the listeners. Opening with “Another Day,” Hill dives into the topic of dissolution and self-identity. The feeling of detachment from the self is mirrored by the softness of the instrumentation. “Still Believe” reflects on the quest for meaningful identity once the feeling of detachment has passed. Shifting focus from human emotions to societal fractures, "Can't Wait For a Savior" confronts climate change issues. The urgency in the vocals, calls for immediate action and compels listeners to awaken from the dream of an ideal world and actually act for it.
“Psilocybin” on the other hand, dives deep into the healing potential of altered consciousness, battling the struggles between pain and rebirth. “Flow Like A River” enlightens the listeners with the reason to believe in yourself. When the world seems dark, it is the light of faith that helps us navigate the path. Diving deep into the struggles of the real world, “Give It Away” with its subtle tones and thumping beats, pierces right through the truth. In the world of push and pull, we all hide scars that are not under our control. Forrest beautifully scraps through the inner conscience and the outer world with his ability to awaken listeners from deep sleep and personal trauma.
