Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends is back with a fresh release, “The Crow.” A former member of the Swedish band Redmoon, Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends began his solo journey back in 2021 with his inaugural single, “Suck/Strings.” With his sense of music rooted in power pop, folk and indie rock, Arn-Identified’s songs reflect a feeling of triumph. His influences subtly nod to timeless artists without slipping into imitation, creating a sound that feels familiar yet personal.

“Alien Friends builds a mournful landscape of silence, carried by a voice unafraid of darkness.”

“The Crow” emerges from a subconscious connection to Roy Orbison, particularly in its dramatic structure and emotional weight. The song features a Bolero-like rhythm, lending it a slow-burning ceremonial intensity. Sugary background vocals contrast the somber mood, adding emotional depth rather than lightness. The lyrics explore loneliness through stark imagery, notably a crow feeding on death, pushing beyond romantic melancholy into existential darkness. Drums by Andreas Quincy Dahlbäck and background vocals by David Myhr and Stefan Petersson add warmth and power to the track.
