The Hue Divide: A love story in Scarlet and Sapphire with ReSeT Ryan Tram's 'Digital Voyage Vol. 1'

Steps into the magnetic realms of digital euphoria with ReSeT Ryan Tram's brand new sonic adventure 'Digital Voyage, Vol.1'! A versatile multi-instrumentalist who is making straight-up aces in the face of electronic music with his art, Ryan, also known as ReSeT draws his musical inspiration from a plethora of genres like R&B Synthpop, Lo-fi Hip-Hop, Future Bass and Dream Pop. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, he has consecutively released two albums in the year 2020, 'Take Times' and H O M E. With this latest release, he aims to establish his lore as an audiovisual artist in style. Arriving with a sonic landscape full of motion graphics and glitchy analogue visuals, let's see what his latest album offers!

 ReSeT Ryan Tram

A kaleidoscopic venture where colors are brought to life, where each has their own story and experience to share, this is a romantic rollercoaster that questions the union of Red and Blue in the most remarkable way possible.

The countdown and the excitement to enter into this moment of escape begins with 'Elevate' and 'Anew', where once in, the listeners completely dwell into the laminating gushes of dopamine, so much so that it becomes hard to escape. Both the tracks follow similar buildups of the main characters, Red and Blue and how they develop in their surroundings. Blue's gravitation and luring towards exploring Red begins with 'Past The Sun'. This is a pure digital notion of delusion and endless romantic yearning, where Blue is seen on the lookout for being complete, constantly pointing out the missing slice of life. On the contrary, Red wanders with the same ideas and curiosity in 'Above', trying to escape her dearth of angst by looking up, trying to navigate the endless possibilities.

Blue finally escapes the matrix with 'Human' and 'We Are What We Do', letting his natural tendencies of synergy take control. A pure and radiant collision of dreamy beats with the ideas of escape is flattering and addictive. Red is also seen breaking the barricades of her zone with 'Breeze' by letting her gut feelings and heart be the stirrer for what's yet to come. They are so close to uniting at 'Plan To Be' and 'Last May', where a constant dilemma follows their ongoings. Blue tries to calm down Red with his pacifying capabilities, convincing them he's exactly what she needs to set him free, where what follows is nothing but pure resistance because they can never really be one.

The scene ends with the glorious 'Painted Sky', where almost everything, all the sensational feelings and thoughts rests insanity with one another. Overall, I couldn't think of this any less than a remarkable masterpiece and I personally believe everyone must give it a listen.
