Tom Ciurczak returns to the music scene with the adventurous tunes of their brand new tune compilation 'I Ain't Ever Growing Up, Vol.II'. Hailing from Southern California, Tom is a singer-songwriter who wishes to embark listeners on a journey full of struggles, humor, highs and lows and love of everyday life in classic rock style through this release, and thereby this is perfectly summery to listen with your family and friends. Drawing inspiration from legends like Warren Zevon, Tom Petty, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen and many more, their sound is joyful and full of life, and is bound to inspire you! Let's take a look at his brand new album track by track!
A colorful tale full of various liberating sounds and surprising emotions, this is a rollercoaster ride that takes us through the artist's mind.
We step into the resonant spheres of this journey with 'Small Town Girls'. This is a soft-rock narrative that reflects upon how notorious and wholesome small-town girls are. As poetic as it sounds, this also romanticizes the beauty and epiphany of knowing them. The album gets a funky makeover with 'Mexican Hall', which describes a full-of-life incident that occurred to the artist once when he was very drunk. "You better hurry up before you get caught" With such coy lyrics this paints a carefree picture of living life to the fullest. 'Lie To Me' is where the album's mood completely changes. This takes us on an emotive journey of ups and downs and mismatched communication that the artist faced with his partner, describing how despite the pitfalls he's still in love with his beloved. Entering hot with a retro-summery bash, 'Day Drinker' makes its way as extra-ordinary with its adventurous and bold themes, thereby sounding as vivid and confident as someone who's got nothing to lose will.
'Not My Problem' is a stop for intensive bass, dreamy spunks and overpowering energy, where the listeners can sense how the artist has given up on his beloved entirety and is now focused on living a happy life by himself. 'Heaven' takes us on a mellow road trip that sends a reminder to the listeners of how they've got only one life to live. He wishes to have one more moment with her as the miseries of the past don't seem to matter anymore. This is him letting out a hand for forgiveness and mending what was once broken. The next track in the line, "I Ain't Ever Growing Up" is a groovy imagery of artist's life. Describing in detail, the artist makes a note of how even the momentary victories didn't feel like it since they were directed towards a problem-free future, where the reality doesn't quite look like it. Forcing maturity on someone doesn't make them mature, and it couldn't be said any more beautifully than this track. And lastly, we end this mesmerizing journey with 'War Of The Worlds'. This is cooldown from the energy of the previous tracks and talks about how a difference of perspectives is causing problems to the masses where he's only got himself and his pretty girl against the world, and it is something he wishes to preserve apart from anything else. I found the album quite wholesome and will highly recommend this to my fellow listeners!
