Scottish singer-songwriter and producer Barry G.K. Thomson, widely known as Ker in the musical world, has released his latest track, “Wōndering on Giants.” He was musically inclined after his marketing days and started pursuing it in his formative period in Kalispell, Montana. He immersed himself in learning guitar, music theory, and piano, shaping a disciplined yet expressive songwriting approach. He draws inspiration from the mid-1960s to mid-1970s era and takes influences from The Beatles, Neil Young , Bob Dylan, and British progressive rock sensibilities.

Ker’s

"With lived experience and quiet conviction, Ker turns landscapes into lasting songs that feel both familiar and newly awake."

“Wōndering on Giants” serves as the debut single and curtain raiser for “Converging Paths.” Written initially for a Scottish folk club as a personal introduction to original material, the track is inspired by hill walking in the Scottish Highlands and the rugged terrain of northwest Montana. Ker beautifully uses mountains as a metaphor for scale, time, and humanity’s quiet dialogue with nature. The vocals and music establish a sense of uplift and stillness, inviting listeners into a gentle emotional retreat.
