Rupert träxler hails from Vienna, Austria and is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and an artist who takes the entire control of the operation when it comes to crafting his music. Though only having officially released only one single under this name, Rupert has layers that will take multiple listens to unpack and truly appreciate. He has created something spectacular here because not only does his style demand re-listens but it also invites them.

Upon a fresh listen, the song seems to have the patina of a heavy metal track but it serves as something much more than that. Not only is it expressionistic and paves ways so vastly different from each other, it also doesn't leave a theme or a sensation undiscovered. The intro sounds target the spine, moving up to your head and then he begins. There's a great bit of intelligibility in Rupert's approach of screaming. This may induce a great amount of curiosity in the mind of a listener who's neck deep into Iron Maiden, Metallica or Slipknot.

It's as if an artist has created a manifestation of metal music that is so inviting to its dark, dusky and indifferent world that you just feel lost within this world. The artwork -- I must say -- works genuinely well for this type of sound, the deep contrasty image, showcasing a chimney red and orange halo lit world that seems to have been taken over by the planet's star. The only creatures left are the ones that dare to stand up in what feels like a purgatory. But through this image, Rupert sees the perfect opportunity to imbibe a deeply thought provoking statement through his masterful lyricism where he goes on to say: "Darkness isn't the end of light, but a point of reflection for the soul".

The bridge features a trailblazing guitar riff and later in the song some backing vocals add depth to the vastness of this world that is created within the song. This knack of putting all of this together, to make something sound like numerous discographies at once and also presenting a different side of metal music is refreshing and it induces a great amount of energy from within.
