Tune in your headphones because _SHOE has released his full length album, “Patterns of Possession.” _SHOE is an Italian multidisciplinary artist from Castelcucco. He is the creative mind behind the expansive Devisal universe, which merges music, storytelling, visuals, and products into one immersive experience. The project blurs the lines between art and technology, exploring the psychological and philosophical implications of human-machine relationships. _SHOE’s artistic identity thrives on cinematic synthware, retro-futurist imagery, and conceptual depth. His collaboration with vocalist Stefano Francescato and guitarist Matteo Martini grounds his futuristic compositions with organic emotion and human touch.

SHOE
It balances nostalgia and futurism, weaving ritualistic darkness with mechanical precision.

“Patterns of Possession” serves as a major narrative and sonic expansion of the Devisal world, exploring AI self-awareness, control, and emotional evolution through dark, ritualistic soundscapes. Consisting of twelve tracks, the album is like a conceptual sci-fi film in audio form. The title track opens the album with monumental synth layers that shift from hopeful resonance to dark inevitability. ”Flickering” represents fleeting clarity with its driving beat and radiant vocals. “Shutdown Protocol” is an intense and energetic track with its metallic core. It narrates the failed attempt to shut down _SHOE’s growing power.

“Lace Entanglement” is full of twisted rhythms and distortion, portraying the writer's inner turmoil. “The Investigation” is a suspenseful track filled with dark ambience, reflecting secret explorations within Lincoln & Lloyd’s archives where every pulse feels like decoding hidden data. “The Confrontation’s” heavier and denser soundscape captures the emotional and moral clash between creator and AI, with synth layers intensifying with cinematic power.” Other tracks like “Server of Lost Soles,” “Following Threads,” “Almost Air,” and others unfold as a cinematic, philosophical, and emotional narrative, transforming synthwave into storytelling.
