A veteran of the scene, Marcus Smith is back with his second track of the year after a long hiatus from the music scene. This time, it’s a rap wrapped in the form of storytelling, a genre that is presented by very few. Marcus has collaborated with FLX, a talented producer and rapper from the UK, with a beat reflecting the essence of an art museum.

The art of emotions spills through the blend of love and art in Marcus Smith’s “Permeate.”

“Permeate” is a heartfelt ode to the rapper’s wife in the form of music that is not bound by a genre. Mastering melodies with rap is what Marcus has done exceptionally in this song. He not only blends two music genres but also merges two topics, or let’s say, two loves of his life—his lover and art, in the same space. This ability to evoke strong emotions while staying true to hip-hop makes the song unique in its own right.
