A divine creative duo project that comprises of the musical superpowers of Mr and Mrs Cumberbatch. C'batch is a unique producer, author and multi-instrumentalist that hails from White Plains, New York. As someone who's grown up over the sound of synthesisers and samplers, Stephen H. Cumberbatch is also a proud ambassador of ASCAP and has spent a lot of years contributing to the music industry. Without any further ado, let's dive right into it!

A thought-provoking jazz-rock number that's soft and full of daily blues, this is oddly mystical.
C'batch never fails to surprise us with his dreamy soundscapes, and this one just happens to be one of such fine tunes because wow. Explaining how draining and dull even a life one yearns to live one day can feel like, this aptly explains just how devastating it can feel to be human sometimes, yet expressing how natural it feels despite the fact that this feeling hits us at different times in our lives. The vocal work on this melody is literally god-level, and it is a reminder that, regardless of this phase, everything will eventually be alright. What sounds like a moment where one actually breaks through their outer moment of chaos, 'Power of Rebirth' explores the rage and fury a teenager experiences. This song may initially sound red but is actually a divine rock anthem that needs your attention.
We also got a chance to interview Jason McKee. Here's a candid conversation with the man.
1 - How has artistry shaped aspects of your personal life?
Ans- If by artistry you mean creativity, I would say composing music has served as a healthy form of escapism for me. It allows me to enter a calm and peaceful space where I can process and tackle many of life’s challenges.
2 - Out of all the genres you've experimented with, which one feels the most like home and why?
Ans- Honestly, they all do in different ways. But if I had to choose one right now, at this moment, I’d probably say Funk. There’s just something about a deep, in-the-pocket groove that feels natural to me. Of course, if you asked me the same question tomorrow, the answer might be completely different.
3 - How do you guys work as a duo? What is the creative process like?
Ans- If you’re referring to “C’batch & Herring” and my musical partnership with James “Buddy” Herring, I would say we worked extremely well together. Our output was incredibly prolific. He pushed and believed in me, and in turn, I pushed and believed in him. He was a great collaborator and a true musical partner. Buddy co-wrote many of the songs from *The Vault* album series with me. We complemented one another creatively, and that kind of chemistry is rare and difficult to find in a musical partnership. As for the creative process, Buddy often handled many of the things that weren’t necessarily my preference. I loved creating the tracks, composing the music, and writing hooks. In some cases, Buddy would come in afterwards and finish the lyrics. Other times, he would take one of my tracks and build or complete the song from there. He was also one hell of a vocalist who brought many of these songs to life. Sadly, he’s no longer with us, and I truly miss working with him. Buddy always used to say, “Steve, you don’t realise how much music you have.” He recognised that many of the ideas I had shelved over the years deserved to be brought to life. I think he’d be pleased to see the effort I’m making now to finally complete many of those musical concepts.
4 - Where do you wish to see C’batch in, let’s say, five years down the line?
Ans- Hopefully still creating music and placing more of it with sync libraries for film, television, commercials, gaming, and other media platforms.
5 - If your sound could be described as a colour, which one would it be and why?
Ans- Purple, because to me it represents creativity, depth, and a certain spirituality.
6 - When did you, Mr Cumberbatch, know that music was your calling?
Ans- From a very early age. I was always surrounded by music. My mother sang, my father was a jazz drummer, and my grandmother played piano. But my earliest defining memory was seeing The Beatles when they first came to America. That was the moment I knew this was what I wanted to do.
7 - How does this particular song resonate with your own life?
Ans- We all have things we need to overcome, and that certainly applies to me as well. The important thing is how we confront those challenges. Hopefully, we face them positively and continue believing that, in the end, everything is going to be alright.
8 - How do you overcome periods of creative stagnation as an artist?
Ans- I think every artist experiences creative blocks or periods of stagnation, and I’m no exception. I’ve learned not to force it. I simply allow those periods to pass naturally, and when the time feels right, I jump back in and start creating again.
9 - What’s the driving force that keeps you going — the music, the people, or the circumstances?
Ans- It’s really life itself. Life experiences and circumstances constantly provide inspiration and creative stimulus. There’s always something to draw from emotionally and artistically.
10 - Are there any collaborations you're looking forward to?
Ans- As I mentioned earlier, I’m hoping to collaborate with sync licensing agencies to place some of my material in film, television, commercials, gaming, and related media, because much of my music naturally lends itself to that space.
