The New-York based band Energy Whores are back with another track. Led by Carrie Schoenfeld, a classically trained pianist, indie filmmaker, Off-Broadway producer, and accompanied by guitarist Attilio Valenti, the group is known for blending electronic folk, art rock, and pop into an avant-electro style. Their tracks have carved a niche for themselves with their art-driven ethos, bold visuals, and genre-defying soundscapes.

Energy Whores

“Pretty Sparkly Things” is a pulsating electro anthem that unmasks the falsehood behind influencer and celebrity culture today.

Their recent release, “Pretty Sparkly Things,” is laced with sharp satire. It explores luxury culture, celebrity worship, and billionaire excess. The groovy beats coupled with confrontational lyrics about economic disparity and spoiled privilege create an upbeat yet eye-opening track. Carrie once again delivers sonic insurgency and lyrical depth with her vocals and writing. With the backing of Attilio on guitar, the track is layered with multiple elements unfolding simultaneously.
