Ellery Twining’s Oy! Feels Like Drifting Through Silence and Snow

You’ve gotta watch the latest track by Ellery Twining. Yes, you read that right—the track lives quietly behind a short film, made for its moments. Ellery Twining comes across as an artist who genuinely doesn’t care about sticking to pop rules, as he likes to freely experiment with music. I really liked how the collaboration with Ben Bostian comes through naturally, and that SCAD connection makes it feel a bit more personal and real.

Ellery Twining

“Ellery Twining creates a symphony of sound that feels fresh to the ears.”

The track plays in the backdrop of the short film, “Oy!” and both elements complement each other seamlessly. It blends with the experimental short film on skiing in the mountains so effortlessly that you almost forget where visuals end and music begins. The sound is calm and soothing throughout, creating a very immersive, almost meditative vibe. Guitar textures and ambient layers stay minimal but do exactly what they need to without overcomplicating things. There’s no rush here, everything unfolds at its own pace, and they actually works in its favor. Even at 11 minutes, the track never feels stretched—it slowly pulls you into its world, almost like you are part of the landscape.
