Years of hard work compiled into an alluring EP, Consequential's 'I'm Alive' is nothing short of a trip-hop nirvana! Produced under WoodysWorldRecords NZ, Consequential is a fascinating sonic movement that follows a simple mantra: 'Make the most of the time you have'. Hailing from the historic market scene of Bury St Edmunds, England, the project is about embracing one's uniqueness and standing the tests of time by being authentic, which is what makes its sound super timeless. A standout for its unconventional obsession with the golden era of liquid funk and bass and drums; let's witness the pixie dust of the producing marvel, Consequential.

Where liquid funk and drum beats dictate your mood, where R&B takes over your mood, this is super unique.
'I'm Alive' is quite literally like its name: spontaneous, rapid and mind-blowing, just the way life hits you hard and fast without any warnings; you enter this album expecting zero trend-chasing sounds. We start this ecstatic journey with 'Body Language', a bass and drums refinement that sets the mood for the entire track list, teleporting you into the golden era of 90's drums and bass. 'Enjoy the Moment' feels like an emotion-driven expansion of the previous track, full of contemporary elements that feel like the result of meticulous creative refinement.
On the contrary, the intro track 'I'm Alive' stands out the most for its experimental drums and bass sound, which merges cinematic allures of mystery. The piano on this one is the ultimate cherry on top, and it's what gives this track its magnetic appeal. The last track, 'Touch Down', is where the social influences also peak, as you hear a dreamy interlude of bass-heavy sound, with a fiery chorus and beat that grow on you the more you hear it. Overall, the last track of this album is my personal favourite. Drop yours in the comment section down below!
