Deptford Sound Collective Turn Disco Into a Protest Dancefloor

Deptford Sound Collective come straight out of South East London with real community energy behind them. A mix of musicians, artists, and activists—that spirit genuinely shows in the sound. Once you listen to their music, it feels like they are channeling those classic 1960s protest songs but dressing them up in disco glitter. There’s a sense of togetherness here, making them a moment in motion. I personally love how they are blending activism with something commercially catchy instead of going preachy.

Deptford Sound Collective

"Deptford Sound Collective are using pop hooks and protest roots to remind us that love is still louder."

“Give Me. Give Me. Give Me, I want it all” is a satirical song that holds a strong message. Beneath the humor, there’s a bold message aimed at Trump and the politics of division. The track instantly pulls you in with that cheeky 1980s disco parody vibe. DSC is very clever in their lyricism, which sparks conversation, but at the same time makes the sound catchy enough for a dance challenge. The song quietly walks away, making you smile and think at the same time. Give it a listen if you really love satirical, disco, and meaningful music.
