Southern Poland-based band By Million Wires has released their much-anticipated EP, “Not Over.” The EP introduces the band not as a comeback act, but as something that’s been quietly evolving for years. Formed back in 2007, their journey really shows how patient and intentional this project feels. They have always sat between dreamy post-rock and alternative rock, but now the sound feels more grounded and emotionally direct. With Mirek Skrok leading on vocals, guitar and keys, alongside Dawid Moździerz’s textured guitar work, Mateusz Ostafil’s steady basslines, and Dawid Remian’s nuanced drumming, the band feels more cohesive than ever. There is a maturity in how they balance atmosphere with melody without overcomplicating things.

“A band shaped by time, By Million Wires turn atmosphere into something deeply personal.”
The EP flows like one continuous emotional arc that completes a melodic musical story. The five-song collection is a complete act in itself. “Over” starts off minimal and repetitive, and before you release, it builds into something heavy and unexpected. The growth feels organic, like a thought turning into a feeling and then into a release. The guitars stay at the centre, shifting between clean tones and washed-out distortion without ever feeling messy. As the EP moves, there’s this natural rise and fall; moments where everything opens up, and then pulls back again. “Glass Houses” fits right into that flow, especially with how the drums drop and let everything breathe for a bit. That breathing space actually makes the emotional parts hit harder when they come back.
“I Know Better” shifts things slightly, feeling more direct and inward, like a conversation with yourself. It feels like a song that you can play when you want to talk to your thoughts. The best part about all these songs is how well they maintain the emotional graph. Across the EP, there’s this recurring feeling of trying to take control of your own life while dealing with everything left behind. “Lost or Won” and “Runaway” carry that same emotional thread, where nothing is fully resolved but still holds meaning. By Million Wires has truly kept things simple, but the way they bind everything together is really amazing. Once you are done listening to all the songs, you release that the collection revolves around your thoughts and emotions even after it’s over. And that’s the beauty of “Not Over,” it doesn’t try to end anything, it just shows that the story is still moving forward.
