Hailing from New Orleans, United States, Burniscous took to music production and acquired the sense of sound right from the sophomore phase of his career. Voicing his challenges and finding out his deep purpose of being as an individual whose dream is to share his journey on full display as a multi-faceted practitioner of a life fully absorbed in music. Vocally, he mainly finds refuge in rapping but the range of his voice doesn't limit him to just that.

Burniscous knows how to fiddle logically with an expansive choice between the terrains of sounds he can offer to his listeners. So, in a way, this EP surprises the listener and behaves like a wave of emotions-- like ocean waves but not only of the soothing kind but also the tumultuous and rough ones. He hops onto the instrumental that beautifully envelopes till around the first 20 seconds of this Extended Play like a ship with a rigid build that has set sail to sea.
His lyricism is evocative, simple and very easy-going on the beat. These three tracks show a vast amount of versatility in all fronts of the type of music burniscous lays his hand on. His voice isn't over the top, never undermines the instruments and the mixing choice makes the EP sound like an abstract hip-hop piece more than anything. His voice may remind one of Roc Marciano, talib kweli among many other textures that have been adored widely by listeners of various sub-genres of hip-hop.

It is to be noted that the EP deals with the phenomenon of creative block, the ever-going (and growing) problem that all creatives must face in their lifetimes. Call it a block (such as the writer's block) or call it a wall that you must face or hit from time to time. Burniscous himself was going through a creative slump for quite some period of time and he toiled through it all with dignity, grace and sheer longing for discovery of the self and the world around him. He finally surpassed it. Either he climbed over the wall or stood so strong that it just broke down and so he calls it (and aptly so), "The Stone Has Been Removed". This EP is a testament to this triumph of his and serves as a deeply motivating piece of art that is accessible with all the wonders that music provides an appreciator of any art form.
One can say, this EP has the patina of Burniscous' struggles that he faced head on and it is important for us, the listeners, to take initiative while realising the dreams that linger deep within our very beings. As an end note, the final track of this EP is a must as it also features a genuinely talented vocalist Alicja Sroka whom I'd like to hear more of on the songs Burniscous makes in the future.
