Alex Wellkers has just released his album, and it has already got us talking. Based out of Switzerland, the multitalented artist is known for his varied skills. Most of his songs are written, composed, and crafted solely by him. Even in his recent album, Wellkers, as the sole songwriter, composer, and creative director, weaves together acoustic and electronic elements. Apart from his skills, he has onboarded musicians from across the globe to add a hint of vibrancy to the collection. Together, these artists have created a list of inescapable songs that blend rock and pop genres.

“Reach the Stars” weaves the journey of life with a myriad of rock and pop sounds, making it an album full of bumpy rides.
“Reach the Stars” unfolds an emotional journey of beautifully crafted songs that tell a story of life and lessons with every verse. The opening track, “We Knew It All,” sets the right tone with Mercedes Bralo's delicate harp work blended with Noelia Diaz's rich cello. Moving forward in the album actually takes us back to the 90s as "Bring Me The Keys” beautifully refreshes the 90s alternative rock textures with the soft vocals of Alex that express heartbreak and the feeling of being unheard in love. “See Me There” transforms into a jazzy song with Dima Faustov’s saxophone, Phil Gardiner’s piano, and Kyle Abbott’s drumming. Wellker’s emptiness is reflected in “Desert Island,” where he goes completely vulnerable, giving the track vocal intimacy and depth through his voice alone.
As “She Will Say” progresses with its vibrant notes, you will get to hear a completely playful song that refreshes the mood instantly and prepares you for the next track in line, which will remind you of the 90s. “The Key” touches that fine string of nostalgia with its grungy 90s alternative rock beat that uplifts your spirits to fight back. Alex again mystically plays with his vocals in “Mystic Saint,” which effortlessly catches your attention with the oscillations of sound. Moving towards the end of the album, songs like “What Are You Searching For” and “Now the Pages Been Turned” form a smooth juxtaposition of electric plays and acoustic tunes. As a fan of rock and pop that are served with great storytelling, you will definitely love this album.
