Ed Silva has released an album titled “Abstract” under his project Cries of Redemption. Cries of Redemption is a long-running independent recording project founded by songwriter and guitarist Ed in Savannah, GA, in 2007. The project represents legacy-driven artistry rather than trend-led visibility. Ed solely owns his melodies, lyrics, and guitar work within his project, delivering a deeply personal musical experience. His musical influences span modern rock, metal, and electronic pioneers, shaping a sound rooted in depth and atmosphere. The sound identity is now rooted in Modern Rock and NuMetal, further expanded through Classic Trance, Cinematic Trap, and Romanian Deep House influences.

Cries of Redemption
“With Cries of Redemption, Ed Silva builds songs around mood and emotion, letting rock and electronic textures blend naturally.”

“Abstract” is a collection of songs diving deep into the emotional chords of a human being. The production depth and well-thought-out lyrics bring inner turmoil, introspection, and isolation to the surface. “The Return” functions as a thematic re-entry point, setting a reflective and heavy tone with layered guitars and atmospheric electronics. “An Eerie Feeling” leans into dark ambience, building unease through moody melodies, heavy rock textures, and haunting electronic undertones. “No More Google Translator” suggests themes of miscommunication and emotional detachment, framed through sharp riffs and rhythmic contrast.

“Cloud 9” introduces a more melodic and reflective shift, balancing weight with moments of sonic lift. The title track embraces experimental structure, allowing atmosphere and texture to guide the emotional arc more than conventional hooks. “Awakening” acts as an emotional pivot, combining intensity with clarity, hinting at internal resolution. “Wherever You Are” closes the EP on a contemplative note, carrying themes of distance, longing, and unresolved connection. Vocal delivery throughout the album is a highlight, captivating listeners through introspective lyrics. The songs linger through musical notes, creating a slow-burning listening experience.
