Carey Clayton takes us on an ethereal haze with her brand new tune compilation 'Headless'! Composite of surreal and intricate percussion, lush synths and interweaving sonic instruments, this goes above and beyond to your ordinary musical experiences and is a moment of sonic awakening and spiritual yearning. Drawing inferences from legends like Radiohead and the Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Clayton aims to embark listeners on the roads to depth and meaning in life, and his experimental sounds truly reflect upon these ideas. Let's explore the fresh and blooming arrangements of 'Headless'!
Carving stimulations of dreams into reality from ever-evolving textures and helping the listeners escape from the ordinary, you name it and this album has it.
We start this sonic horizon with a playfully creative melody of 'Headless', which feels nothing short of a fever dream, where everything is happening all at once. There's too much to catch onto, but one's mind keeps on colliding with different ideas, perspectives and radiations to think straight. 'Light On' is another radiant tune that captures a bright array of sunshine. This is nostalgic, fresh and reflective of a subtle hue of romance. 'Infinite Figure' is yet another poignant work of art that catches onto you in the most poetic manner possible. This is elegant, and mysterious and carries a unique charisma to it that feels extremely artsy and addictive. 'Curtain Call' and 'Concentric Circles' are two melodies that fall in a similar mood setting, feeling like a change of mood of the album to a more serious and rainy setting, away from the butterflies of excitement, where one cannot fathom the strange happenings in their mind.
'Future In A Past Life' feels like an elated moment of travelling back in time only to find out that one has always been ahead of time. The title will make one think deeply and self-reflect, and the tune will take away into a calm away from chaos. Another melody that strangely caught onto us was 'Into Shadow', which is yet another vivacious moment of storytelling that is too blissful to be true. From 'Mirage', 'Self Portraits' and 'Point of View', almost all the rest of the tunes on the album are uniquely crafted, from their title formation to every second of them, as if radiating a distinct shimmer of poetry from them. Overall, I found this landscape extremely dreamy and I believe so will you!
