The Seattle-based singer-songwriter has released his EP “Eclectic Mementos.” Josh Jensen is known for creating sounds that defy musical boundaries, and this album is no exception. The Seattle-based artist started his music journey with pop-punk recording with Gary Mula in 2000.Gradually, this paved the way for his interest in the world of music, and he began exploring it with his fingertips on the guitar strings. From fingerpicking and folk styles to 90s grunge and alternative rock, Josh explored all forms of music. He formed a funk-prog group during his college days and released an LP titled “We Are The Media.” After that, he ventured into his solo journey with debut single “Unravel the Wire,” again collaborating with Mula. Since then, he has released a couple of singles that have a refreshing sound with a touch of quirkiness.

“Eclectic Mementos” feels like a never-heard-before sound with ethereal beats and a touch of experimental charm.

His latest EP, “Eclectic Mementos,” is a completely raw and nascent project from Josh. Breaking away from his usual music, he dives into downtempo and electronic experimental sounds to create four songs in this EP. Every song is written and recorded in his Seattle home studio. With eclectic influences, late-night jamming sessions, and layered drum samples, Jensen has produced an off-the-hook collection. “Tier 7” explores the idea of being caught in the system, with pulsing synth bass, glitchy textures, and atmospheric pads.

“Welcome to the Parasocial Adventure” dives into the modern phenomenon of parasocial relationships—where fans feel connected to celebrities without truly knowing them. The immersive soundscapes make the theme even more exciting for the listeners, while also hiding a warning about blindly following the lives of people on a screen. In this world full of showoffs, it's okay to be yourself, a message depicted in “H34V3N.” With “a day in the life if it was written in 2025” Josh reimagines the classic Beatles track "A Day in the Life," updating it to reflect contemporary struggles and experiences.
